The actual plot of the movie, letting us know that at least some of it involves the circumstances of the death of Uncle Ben, and the possible involvement of a thug who has now become the super-powerful Sandman. If you were only judging by this trailer, you’d think Sandman was *the* major villain in the movie, but I think what they’ve done is focused on material that is possibly in the first part of the movie, and not so much later on, in the sections that deal more with Venom. On that front, we do see some scenes involving Peter’s interaction with the strange black costume that “becomes” Venom (on someone else), but we don’t yet see Venom in this trailer. Sony is no doubt saving that for now.
