Sadie Blake (played by Lucy Lui) is a Los Angeles news reporter who is doing a series of articles about the young Goths in the city. Her latest article brings her to the location where one of her sources was apparently murdered. She unknowingly wakes up Eve (Carla Gugino) and Bishop (John D’Arcy) and they slit her throat and drink her blood. Sadie wakes up in the morgue as a vampire. But she is a different kind of vampire as she is repulsed by her need to kill for survival and tries to kill herself in vain. Arturo (Julio Oscar Mechoso), the arch nemesis of Bishop, teaches Sadie how to kill the English vampire and his court. Sadie also teams up with Tricia’s father, Detective Rawlins (played by Michael Chiklis) to have their revenge. But they made an agreement that Rawlins has to kill Sadie when their task is complete.
